Found this while cleaning. It looks somewhat like a number of beetles I've found, but also looks rather bed-buggy. Would appreciate a proper identification.

Not working with an ideal camera, but several pics here:

I have a question...are the really young bed bugs tiny and almost smaller than a rice grain? i feel as if I am seeing them everywhere...the apartment (a studio) has been fumigated by professionals twice, I have diatomaceous earth all along the perimeter of the apartment, covers on my mattresses (2 futons) This building is over 100 years old, so high ceilings and lots of nooks and crannies(!) I also bought cedar oil...The DE around the legs of the bed seems to work, all of the anti-bed bug equipment is ridiculously expensive....I also bought a steamer.
    I have become a cleaning freak...OCD central...

As I wrote, I'm also leaning towards this being some sort of beetle, as it closely resembles some confirmed carpet beetle remains I've previously found. However, this one's rear section is a bit too "BB-like" for comfort, so I'm still holding out for a positive ID from one of the PCOs or entomology gurus who frequent this forum.

    It's a beetle's pupa, probably a carpet beetle's one....

Grazie, EffeCi! That's a welcome diagnosis. Yet another beetle corpse for my collection...

Thanks, David. I suppose it could be a roach thingy, but I've never seen any sign of roaches in more than four years in this apartment building. So, I hope we're not getting them now. Given the number of other carpet beetle remnants I've found, I'm inclined to agree with EffeCi's assessment.

Either way, the consensus is that it's not a BB, which is quite good enough for me.
