Can anyone tell me what this is? It looks too long for a bedbug but I can't quite tell, I thought maybe it is somewhere between an adult and a baby. I found it on my bed.

My flatmate had bedbugs and so the building management moved her to a different apartment and is having her room professionally exterminated - only her room though. How realistic is it to think that if she has them that I don't? We are right next door, but they won't pay for my room to be treated unless I can prove it is also infested. Two nights ago I saw what was definitely an adult bed bug walk right under my door into my room, which I caught and gave to the building management but this was not enough to prove I am infested apparently. I have no other symptoms.

Thanks in advance for any help, I'm freaking out.

Oh, gross. Thank you for your answer. It seems really big for a louse, almost a centimeter. Does anyone know if there is a connection between bedbugs and lice? Or whether it is possible to have just one louse? Like I said no symptoms - feel like I should be crazy itching if I have a louse infestation. Argh body lice and bed bugs, my apartment is some kind of hell.
