ID help & encasement question

hey folks,
thought id never have to come back to these forms, but here we are (siiiigh). two questions:
1. carpet beetle? bedbug? something else? theres one biggie and one small-y and i apologise for the crappy macbook photobooth photos:

(ohh beautiful king sized bed, how i miss you so) also, im located in toronto.. so 416ers, your suggestions are most appreciated!

Hard to really be sure for the photo but do not look that interesting to be, esp the biggie. Maybe measure and give the actual size, they look pretty big.

thanks for your replies, folks. this of course does not help the fact that i *am* being bitten by bb (bites look just like the ones from BB WAR ROUND ONE). i think id feel better (er, less crazy) if i could at least find a bug -- dead or alive!
my mattress is covered in DE - both bottom and top, with a fitted sheet on either side. my baseboards are lined with DE. my furniture is pulled away from the walls. ive even ditched pjs in hopes of baiting these mf's to bring them through the DE. i just want to find a freakin bug, yknow?
