So I just got back from a 5 day long weekend in Texas with a group of 10 or so friends. I realized in the shower, when I got home,, that I had a bunch of red bumps all over the inside of my right arm. I didn't think much of it at first - I was on a river and outside the whole weekend and figured I had just gotten bitten then. However, the more I thought about it, the more paranoid I became. I noticed they were generally grouped in threes (breakfast lunch dinner) - although more in a triangular format than a line as has been described. I spent all day in a near panic at work and when I got home today I took all my clothes that had been in the suitcase and put them in the washing machine on hot. I also had cosmetics in my bag, makeup and clothes. I inspected them and didn't find anything. I also inspected my suitcase and found nothing but bagged it up anyhow.

None of my friends have the same symptoms as I do - particularly the ones I was sharing a bed with. I am still TERRIFIED however, what else should I do? Should I just throw away my suitcase? Should I have an pest control person come to treat my apartment just in case? I can feel my heart beating with anxiety right now. Do these sound like bites? Please help

I'm from NYC. Why do you ask?

I should note they don't really itch. All of my friends are convinced that it's poison ivy, or sumac or some general gross river issue. Sigh

Im a PCO from NY and was going to offer some help via phone if you were out of state. I didn't want to come off as a sales pitch.

Oh Ive read about you (during the numerous hours I've spent on this forum today) in other posts. How do I get in touch with you being as I'm in NY? Everyone thinks I'm crazy, and I am a hypochondriac that is very true, but I want this issue nowhere near me

As a stopgap measure, I'd toss your suitcase in a trash bag and knot shut. Ditto for it's contents.
