Got Bed Bugs? Bedbugger Forums » Uncategorized
I guess it's a good sign...

After a few days of being bite free, we're getting small bites. The reason, we think, is because we did our laundry at my parents' house. We suspect their drier isn't up to par and didn't effectively warm everything up to the ideal temperature. Case in point: I wore clothing that I'd washed at home all day with no effect, but put on a shirt from their house and within about two hours, had a new itchy spot.
I'm rewashing everything we did there and trying to deliberately sit myself in only me-washed clothing. In the meantime, I get to resume my fear that bugs are everywhere in the house.

this might seem like a strange question, but just out of curiosity, did you use a different laundry detergent at your parent's home than what you normally use?
if the bites are small or considerably different from what you're used to, it's always possible that you're having a hive-like reaction to a stronger detergent (especially if it's the concentrated type, which i always react to now. my skin has become much more sensitive after the pesticide exposure).

We're "special" in that many of our bites have been large, single bites rather than a small pattern.
I'm no longer a reliable predictor because, among other things, I am getting near my period and always break out more (therefore, increased number of blotchy and sometimes itchy spots), plus spent quite a bit of time outside being attacked by other bugs. I have no idea of knowing what is actually a bbb or mosquito bite or normal itch or what...:(
