   Pretty sure this was a woman in Chicago from a few years back. A lot of people assumed it was written by a guy, but I'm almost positive it was a girl. It's been featured on the Best of Craig's List.

   I think people automatically assume a male voice, when there is no other indicator of gender when things are written on the internet. Screen names, etc. Unlike there is a clear indication of femaleness, I think most people assume male.

   Damn Patriarchy!

   My husband laughed hysterically when i read it to him. Best of craigslist is where I found it while searching for "my bedbugs" children's show.

   Man, woman, or god...That was a boost of pure positive battling attitude!

   Nobugs gave her a special designation - she is not a "Newbite" or a "Junior Member" .

   No indeed. That priceless discourse earned her the special designation of "Craiglist Ranter".

   you will see her when she posts again - she has not been around for a while

   I think many of us - if not most of us - can relate to the feelings she writes of but very few of us could write like her and express it so well

   Yes, it is Jessinchicago and funny.

   But there is another open letter, too, that takes a much more tender and regretful tone to the little beasts. After all, you are so close to them during one of the most stressful times of your life. I can't find it! I think it was linked here.

   Yes-- it is Jessinchicago.

   Here's an article about her Craigslist post, which got quite a compliment from US magazine.

   Jess also wrote these posts on the blog.

   She's wonderful and very talented.
