After living with this begbug problem for several months and finding absolutely no evidence of bedbugs in my house, I finally found one tonight! At least I think it is a bedbug. It is brown, ribbed, about the size of a pencil eraser and longer than it is wide. Before I squished it, it had a little girth to it. I know they are usually on the flat side unless they have fed. Could I be mistaking this for another kind of bug? Is there any other bug that looks similar to bedbugs?
BTW, I've had the exterminator in two times in the past month and this little guy was just moseying around under my couch without a care in the world when I found him. Guess that extermination didn't work so well.

take a pic of it and put it on.
the bugs are around the size of a sesame seed, give and take some... size of an eraser sounds super large - too big to be a bed bug, perhaps...
or take measurements.

You're right, it does look like that! Thank you so much. I am totally relieved! I found it under the couch I've been sleeping on and was pondering where my next safe haven would be if I couldn't sleep there anymore. The bathtub was starting to look pretty good.
