I beat the bugs! And you can too!

When I texted my dad, "I beat the bugs" all he texted me back was, "How?"
Well.
I didn't call a PCO. I didn't spray pesticide more than once. I was just super careful. I wash/dried/put in the oven literally everything I own. It was a lot of work, because after I did that I also had to be vigilante about putting DE on everything. And I mean everything. after I did all the baseboards, I set up DE barriers between rooms, by doing all the door frames. I drew DE outlines around all the furniture, so that the bed bugs would have to cross it if they moved from one piece of furniture to another, or from one room to another.
And then we did weekly bedchecks and sheet cleanings. I didn't bag up most of my clothes.
But I did it. And it only took a month and a half.
Of course I still have the fear that I will wake up covered in bites. And I'm still checking my bed. And I haven't unpacked what I did bag up yet.
But things are ok.

That's more widespread than DE is supposed to be used. But it does give good info. I hope you used proper face mask, etc. Was it food grade DE, or the kind with pesticide in it? Give us an update if anything changes.

It takes bedbugs generally 10-15 days to die from exposure to DE. I think you still need to be diligent until 2-3 months in without any sightings and/or "bites"
