Ok, so I have read the FAQ a few times and been all over this site and a few others. I am about ready to throw up b/c I am almost positive what I have going on is bed bugs but I don't know. This has been going on for 3-4 weeks now and of course like others, I am the only one being bitten. I have searched, and searched and searched our apartment for any sign, anything, and have come up with nothing. Torn apart beds, closets, carpet, lightswitch plates etc and nothing. I live in an uppity apt building with 12 units per building. I KNOW if I go to my landlord with this they will A think it is us and we are dirty and somehow "caused" this and B they will not do squat until I have evidence. Last night (I had long pants on btw) I felt something "drop" on my leg (my skin, in my pants) and it somehow woke me up an I felt for it and it felt like sand. This happened two more times and on the third time, I grabbed whatever it was and went to the kitchen and put it in a baggie. This morning I look and I think it looks like 3 TINY little white eggs all attached somehow, the boyfriend (who is NOT being bitten!!!) thinks it's fuzz and I'm insane. I can't even describe how miniscule it is, you have to have a mag glass to see it. My landlord will not take this as evidence. We have had two new neighbors in this building in the last 6 months, and one of them is right below us. I'm not pointing fingers, but I can pretty much guarantee that this problem is not in MY apartment. I know I'm rambling, I'm just hysterical at this point and I feel like I have no where to turn. My bites don't actually itch that bad except right at first, they look like zits, like whiteheads and they are almost always on my legs, occasionally on my chest/arms. I am not sure, but I am pretty darn sure after everything I have read and seen that they are bed bugs. I don't think anyone will help (or believe!) me, until I find an actual bug, which I have spent weeks trying to do, and no luck. I know people have mentioned double stick tape, plastic, etc. but none of that is working. I hope this is not a post you have all seen too many times before but, I'm just at a loss with how to handle this. Thank you for reading!!

KT - I probably had the bugs for months before finding out, completely by chance, that my downstairs neighbor had an infestation she was professionally treating. Without this lucky bit of knowledge, I probably would have gone on for several more months before realizing what was going on. First reason, obviously that I was oblivious to the bites. If they were itching, I paid it no mind. Second reason? - dark sheets, dark comforter, dark nightshirt. What you might want to do, pronto, is get all-white bed linens and ls nightshirt. Inspect carefully for blood spots. Not foolproof, but helpful if you are looking for signs. This is how I knew I had spread them to a friend's house and her Orkin guy told us not to wash the sheets, he wanted to see them. That in conjunction with bites might give you better evidence. I plan to use white bed linens and bed clothing for the rest of my life. Since I am not so reactive initially, they are a good tool for me.

Kt, I would say it's highly unlikeyly that you pulled an egg cluster out of your pants,so to speak. I'm not saying that you don't have BB's,maybe they were trying to lay them on the clothing you were wearing at the time?I would take your sample to a pco that can idendify it for you, before doing anything. If you can get a good macro shot of it,post here as well.Good luck

KT, BTW, boyfreind probably is being bitten,if you do have BB's. There are,I think 60% of people who don't react at all.I know being one of them.
