Two days ago bed bug bites started showing up on my roommate. We did not know what they were at the time, but early this morning she found a single bug. (She stayed over at a friend's who just found out he has them.) I have not had any bites, but I did just find a single bug on my bed a few minutes ago.

Our landlords are supposedly calling to make an appointment with a pco that they trust, and hopefully that will be soon.

The main thing that I'm worried about is that there are many boxes in my room, and I'm pretty scared that the bugs have gotten into them. What should I do to deal with this? Should I be worried this early in the "infestation?"

Can you find out who the PCO is and talk to them before they come out to treat? Some PCOs want you to leave items undisturbed, though others may want you to declutter first.

The PCO is coming on Monday. We haven't talked to them directly, but the landlord mentioned clearing out closets and moving things away from the walls. Not anything else, though.

(Oh, and we have to do laundry the day of, which means I spent all of that money for nothing.)

If you already laundered your clothes on high heat and bagged them, you probably wouldn't have to wash them again? If they're sealed, why would you need to wash them again?

Also, like the other poster suggested, wait for PCO instructions before you move things around. The PCO should give you some type of prep sheet before they treat.
