About a week ago I got what I'm 80% sure are bed bug bites. Cleaned out my room, threw out box spring, bought mattress cover, bagged clothes, etc. but couldn't find any sign of bed bugs. I'm being vigilant and am paranoid about eggs possibly being everywhere.

    * Are eggs visually detectable? Or do I have to wipe even tupperware boxes to make sure they're safe? I've been using a vacuum to clean my room and am now scared to put it back into the apartment close for fear there could be eggs lodged in it.

    * Will bed bugs lay eggs on my skin? Do I have to scrub down everytime I leave my bed?

    * I haven't found bed bugs in my bed, but should I look for eggs in the sheets?

I guess the main crux of my question is - do bed bugs go around randomly laying eggs everywhere, or do they lay them in areas they occupy?

    Thanks so much!
