How often do I replace the vaseline?

   and how thick should it be?
   what about the mineral oil? Should I replace it?

   Successful so far with mine, I just goop it finger wide and thick enough that the bug has to wade through it and replenish it when it dries enough its not tacky anymore. But my double side tape has only caught one centipede and my vaseline moat only one nymph, in 4 weeks. Mind you, the isolation has been working- no bites. Between my hunting and the treatment they are lying lo...
