    Hi all,

Last night coming home I jumped on a crowded streetcar. I now wish I had taken a cab or waited for the next streetcar. A guy standing a few feet from me had welts across his neck (admittedly they could have been something else), but having survived bed bugs I am super cautious. He never brushed up against me and he didn't have a bag with him and I did my best to move as far away as possible. I bagged the stuff I was wearing once I got home including my purse and shoes. I am planning on treating them in the dryer/packtite. Is this overkill? I also wonder, do others worry that between the time they get inside their door and get their clothes quickly into a bag that a bed bug could have gotten into their apartment?

In my opinion yes, I would be more worried about taking a taxi, though. I had one on my jacket which was in a coat check at a NYC restaurant. They are everywhere. Whenever we are out we take everything off, bag it and clean it.
