We spent 10 days in Paris and on the last day, my husband had bites all over him (I did NOT!), and we found about 5 bed bugs on the headboard of the place where we were staying.

We never saw any actual bugs or anything on our stuff but when we got back to NY, we left all of our belongings outside the apartment and went to a laundry mat and washed all clothes on high heat. We even put shoes in the dryer. I threw out our suitcase even though I never saw any bugs. We have another bag that I want to keep. Its still outside of our apartment. If I put it in the FREEZER will that kill the bugs?

Also, the only thing we did not treat were the BOOKS we bought abroad. We looked thru them and never saw any bugs. Should we be concerned? I saw on the public forum bugs can live in the books too. So I put them in the freezer. Is that going to help?

Also, we have a camera and some artwork we bought... what should we do with those?

Again, we never saw any bugs on our belongings. We only saw a few bugs on their bed on our last day.

I don't want to overreact... but I don't want to infest our own home either!

Any advice you have would be much appreciated!

    Thank you...
