I've noticed what I suspect to be bed bug bites for the past 2 weeks but couldn't find signs of them anywhere until last night when I saw this little guy on the wall by my bed. Judging from all the pictures I've seen online I feel pretty confident that this is indeed a bed bug, but wanted to confirm with the experts! Pictures below:

Also, I'm scheduled to move into a new place within the next week. My game plan (please keep in mind I'm a recent college graduate with no money to her name) was to put encasements on my mattress and box spring, and wash/sterilize all of my clothes then immediately transfer them over to the new place to avoid contamination. Does this sound like a safe bet? I don't really have any other personal belongings except my luggage, which I had planned to steam and then store in large garbage bags.

    Dear kruss,

Sorry but your photo indicates that this critter is a bed bug.

    Comments/suggestions:

    > Run your clothes through the dryer or completely launder. Then seal them into plastic bags.

    > Be really careful to inspect/treat all items you transfer to your new place.

Hope this helps ! paul b.

Looks like a male bed bug from the photos.
