I found bites on my legs, and then found two extremely tiny bugs on my bed sheet. I completely checked bed and mattress, didn't find any wrong, not even a dirty spot (new bed, new mattress)

it looks exactly like a bed bug. i'm so sad

    thanks much,

    Dear simple,

Unfortunately this does look as if it could be a bed bug in your 3rd photo.

However, I am not 100% certain based upon the quality of the photo provided !

As such, please provide photos as follows:

    > Use your macro setting.
    > Use good lighting.
    > Photo of top view.
    > Photo of bottom view.
    > Photo of side view.

    Thanks much ! paul b.

oh really? what a relief. i just called pest control for a free visual inspection. it looks like the bed bug pics, similar shape, color and number of legs. just very very tiny. but after you pointed out it could be a grain beetle. i googled and compared. it does look more similar to grain bettles.
    but do grain bettles bite?
    thanks

Yes really. It's 100% not bedbugs and 100% a type of grain beetle.

No unless you are made of grain and then they would be lethal to you as you would be their food.

I cant say what may or may not have bitten you or caused the skin reaction. I can only work with the facts and data you put in front of me.

No, I meant the 3rd photo from as they appeared on my screen. You know, the one that most looked like it could be a bed bug.

I am thankful to have our friend Nobugs otherwise "clean up" all the "e-messes" I make because I'm not savy enough to do the links, quotes and other such stuff.

One day, when the smoke clears, I hope to actually learn how to do all this e-stuff. It's not that I'm too dumb to learn these things but I think it's a combination of being busy, lazy and ADHD.

As such, I apologize for my e-inabilities !

In the meanwhile, I'm glad your critter is NOT a bed bug.

    Have a nice day ! paul b.

    Dear simple,

Thanks for your well intentioned comments but I think, at least in my case, you've drastically overstated the value of my comments.

As such, I propose you down grade your assertion where my comments are concerned to:

    "You don't have crabs ! "

as this is more closely related to insects.

    Have a nice day ! paul b.

I noted earlier that it looks like a small beetle. It's very possible that it's a fungus beetle, not necessarily a grain beetle. Some grain beetles, however, feed on grain that is fungus infected and not in pristine condition. Various fungus beetles can definitely live in the home. You never know what goes no within in walls and near pipes that have lots of condensation.
