    found on the rim of mattress, have gotten 3 bites in a line but could not find any bed bugs

    not an expert, does not look like a bb to me.
    maybe a carpet bealtle larvae?
    I am sure somebody with more experinace will chime in soon.

    Those aren't BBs. I'll usually add a caveat about not being an expert but after years of looking at mystery bugs, & years of infestation & re-infestation in my old home, I'm prepared to give you a copper-bottom guarantee that those aren't BBs. Pretty sure I do know what they are but being only "pretty sure" I'll leave definitive ID to the entos & specialist PCOs who post here.

    Do you have any other reason to suspect BBs?

    Hi,

    100% not bedbugs.

    100% beetle larvae and most likely carpet beetles.

    From the evidence in the pic and what you have described I would say bedbugs is a low probability and would advise to to proceed as if you have a carpet beetle issue which does not require the use of any insecticides. Information can be found at:

    I concur with DC, our esteemed colleague from the UK, what you have are beetle larvae. Could be carpet beetle, varied carpet beetle, furniture beetle or similar.
