Heat Draws Them Out?
(5 posts)-
I talked to a PCO yesterday that uses heat treament. He told me that if I took a hair dryer to the area that I thought they might be that while it wouldn't kill them, they will come to the heat source because they are attracted to the heat. Anyone care to weigh in?

This is true. I have had success in using a hair dryer. The bugs may not come out ASAP but keep your eyes open. It may take fifteen minutes to spot one and do small sections at a time.
Lou Sorkin way back in 2006 told me to use a hair dryer and he was correct. -
Say it is a crack in the corner of the baseboards, would I point the hair dryer directly at it? What setting?

If I remember correctly I slowly went over areas with hot and high blow.
I guess you have to be creative. This procedure may not get them out of area that are extremley
hard to get to but it can's hurt to try it. Use common sense please and don' burn yourself or set your home on fire. -
Thanks! :o)
