Hello- I am new around here. I am 99% sure I have bb's - I have the bites and I found a small bug last night. I called my landlord and he put me in touch with an exterminator who is coming tomorrow. We went through the process - washing, baggin, etc. But I have a questions: I have a lot of longish hair, which I was often, but still should I be concerned about bbs hanging out? Should I get it cut?

No, don't worry about your hair. They aren't well equipped to navigate through hair, they prefer your naked skin. They hang out in your bed and in cracks and crevices or behind pictures etc near your bed, not in your hair.

thanks for that. I am just starting to deal with this and am exploring all options. And of course trying not to freak out to much.

I have long hair as well and would like to think that it's ok. Like Coopbugged said, hair isn't where they want to be.

great. thank you. I am still dealing with the shock of this and seems like I have so many questions.
Is there a place on this forum I can introduce myself and post a few questions (what type of vaccum? stoarge? moving? etc.)

    Thank you all for reassurances.

You can just post a question right here in the forum. But check the FAQ and the archives in case the question has been asked or answered. I've asked questions that have been asked before, but no one will beat you up if you repeat one. ;) It's a changing group, and we all have our own unique experiences. Welcome! I'm Blow.

What a relief! I was just looking for things I made a list of that I want answered and this was already here... I had very long hair about a week ago... I cut some off because everytime I have something stressful go on... my poor hair gets it! But luckily my hairdresser just cut about 5-6 inches off and it is still long... Thanks for posting this question bbinbrklyn... I too read all of this things for the first time when I was in MAJOR panic mode last week... THANK YOU THANK YOU TOO ALL for being here. It is amazing the amount of support received here and how much better it makes me feel I can't imagine going through this 10 years ago when perhaps the net wasn't yet where it is now with these kinds of blogs and such. I feel VERY lucky to have found this place and all of you(yet it is sad too because it means that unfortunately, you have BBs too.)
