I had bed bugs and had heat + chemical treatment last week. I found this streak on my pillow today when I was checking my bedding. The pillow is covered by a pillow case, so I don't think it could be dirt. My body is covered by bites, so I can't tell if I have new ones. Can you guys please help me ID the streak? Many thanks!

Hi,

No that main streak is not bedbug related, the smaller one is the correct colour but again its not bedbug based on the physiology.

I am surprised the heat treatment provider did not leave a monitor given the postal area you live in London I would have said its highly advisable to have done so.

Thanks David! I just purchased your passive bed bug monitor. I have a foam mattress that sits on top of a wood frame with wood slates. Should I place the monitor at the head of the mattress or is there a better location for it?

I also found a roundish black stain on the wooden slate today. I think it's a new mark. I brushed it with a wet cotton swab and it smeared slightly. Does this look like a fecal stain? Thank you so much for your help!

Hi,

Head end on the slat as per the instructions.

The trace is highly likely to be faecal but it does not look fresh as in the last few days as far as I can tell. If you PM I will post a sample confirmation kit with enough to confirm is disprove that mark as I can't be 100%.

David,

Enlarge that second picture with the slat and have a second look ... I don't think thats fecal at all. I'm on a big screened Mac and it doesn't cut it from here.

And enlarge the first set of pictures ... the small streaks color is off IMO as well.
