Going Crazy
(2 posts)-
I've suspected BB for months now, but could never find any evidence. After three doctor's visits that diagnoised me with scabies, allergies, and sensitivity to my environment I spotted a BB. I found it on my library book while reading. After I saw it, I threw the book in the freezer and waited for my boyfriend to come home. He thought I was crazy and overreacting, but he indulged me as we began to rip apart the bed. We found nothing on the bedding, or the mattress. When he lifted up the box spring and yanked off the plastic corner, there they were. By this time I was in hysterics. We went to the couch and found some on the couch slipcover, but not the couch itself. We pulled an all nighter, bagging the bed and boxsprings, throwing everything we could away. I called the landlord who is not helping very much. The PCO that he will pay for does not guarantee any extermination of BB. I am loosing alot of sleep, and am not functioning very well at all. What do I do. I have not been bitten in three days, is this a good sign? Do BB's like cats, I have one and she is scratching, but she always scratches b/c she has long hair.

Sunshine,
I feel your pain!
I wouldnt discount the PCO because they cant garuntee bed bug eradication because I am not sure how realistic that claim would be.
One thing you might want to ask is how many bed bug cases the PCO has successfully treated and find out what their plan of action for treatment would be. Then come on this site and do some research or ask the forum if their treatment plan makes sense. Then you can determine if your landlord's PCO is a good choice.
Good luck!
