Global Pest Control - NYC/ Help?
(3 posts)-
Does anyone know anything about Global Pest Control in NY? I can't really find any info on them anywhere. It's who my landlord brought in. I wasn't home when they came by, but my roommate said he only had one cannister with him, sprayed while she stood outside in the hallway, and was done in like 5 minutes. I missed him by about 10 minutes (I had no idea he would already be done by the time I got there...) and I had a lot of questions for him. The couch and my mattress were damp when I felt them, so I assume he sprayed them - which I am not thrilled about. He didn't offer my roommate any info except that he'd be back next Thursday and that we shouldn't be bit anymore now (?) He didn't address the fact that *everything* we own is in Ziplocs... What do we do with it if he didn't treat any of it? I can deal with my clothes, but what about everything else? If the problem didn't originate in the actual apartment itself (which we believe is the case - we think we brought them home with us from a co-worker) then his "treatment" is kind of useless, right? Won't we just reinfest as soon as we open up any of the bags? Ugh. This is why I just wanted to get KQ in here to eradicate the problem...but I could not get my roomies to pay that much when they had a free option (however ineffective it may be) =/
I don't really know what my question is ...
I guess - Does anyone know Global's "treatment" process? Will spraying the baseboards, mattresses and maybe floors (?) do anything if our stuff wasn't treated? If there are bbs in bags and we let them out, will the spray kill them on contact (if they encounter it)? [Of course, I don't even know what kind of spray it was...]
This is frustrating. =(

WHY DON'T YOU CALL THEM.

LoL, I should have mentioned in my post that I tried that first. =P They were no help. The office person told me these were questions for the exterminator, but I was not home when he came and my roommate didn't grill him like I would have. Now I'll have to wait until next Thursday comes. And btw - This morning I found a nymph on my bed (and maybe an egg shell?) and my roommate found poop on her sheets that she washed and dried last night. =/ *sigh*
