Hi, I'm in Brooklyn, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my books, in particular. I'm having treatments in the apartment, a dog is coming back to resniff the place, but I want to either put my things into a freezer or into a vikane truck for a period of time (for as long as necessary!). I found Bed Bugs & Beyond through this site-- thanks!-- and will call them asap. But does anyone know about huge deep freezer rentals in NYC?

Also, of course, if anyone has an opinion on vikane vs. freezer, please do let me know. I guess thermal is another option? Again, it would have to be someplace where I can *take* my things to be heated.

    Thanks!

I haven't tried it, but Stern Environmental freezes stuff and they are in New York. I bought an encasement from them.

Stern uses Cryonite, a freezing technology, on people's homes to kill bed bugs.

diebugsdie, are you saying they will take your stuff away and freeze it? I have not heard of this.

Vikane is an option but only if you can be sure the apt. will be bed bug free when the stuff comes back.

Are neighbors being inspected and treated?

Oops, yeah, I went to the website and it looks like they just freeze stuff in your home. Though I swear in all my hideous hours of reading about this I have read that some places do take your stuff and freeze it.
