oh really? I never thought I'd be so glad to hear that!

it is really small (the size of the word 'liberty' on a penny) so I guess I didn't think of that first.

Just to be sure I'd like to send it off to an entomology lab - it looks like harvard's school of public health does an identification service. Anyone have any experience with them or another lab that's good?

    Thank you!

You don't have to waste the money Chad. Roach nymphs are that small. If you want that extra assurance by all means go ahead. Looks like the kind common in SoCal. I've stared at quite a few through a magnifier.

Here is a BB fact to ponder. A BB antenna is made of only 4 segments.
Look at the antenna made of a buttload of segments.

Been 'round the block awhile here and seen many a photo. I guarantee you that is not a BB but a roach nymph.

We have a few entomologist and BB experts around that will concur.

    Jim,

It's such a relief to hear that. I had bed bugs in another apartment about 5 years ago and ever since I've been terrorized by the thought that I'd get them again - so when I found this I immediately feared the worst.

    Thanks again for your help.

Ahhh....the infamous roach nymph. (and Jim to the rescue)

hmmm: This is the only site where having roaches is a good thing.
