Found an excellent way to treat beg bug bites

We had recently been victims of bed bug infestations and while my daughter's stay-in nanny didn't get any bites, me and my daughter suffered severely. For more than a month I would wake up with big swolen, angry welts all over the body. It looks horrible as they look like bruises on my arms and they leave ugly scars.
I tried everything from over the counter balms to hydrocortisone cream (recommended by my doctor) but what worked for me is a homemade solution consisting of aloe vera gel and baking soda.
It works best if you have just been bitten. Mix three parts of baking soda with one part Aloe vera gel and apply them directly like a paste on the bite. You will fell the bite sting a bit but that would instantly stop the itch. Allow the paste to dry on the bite and peel off on its own.
If you have to go out and dont want to be seen with white patches of solution on your body, you can increase the amount of aloe vera in the mixtture so you have a clear, translucent salve. Since the ingredients are natural you can apply as often as you feel necessary. You will notice that your bites will not swell, itch and will barely leave a scar when they heal.
I used a regular Arm and Hammer baking soda and 100% organic aloe vera gel you can find in health food store.
