To be brief... how did you handle it? I have a 13 month old, and he's getting bitten although I think it's because the bugs are probably on my living room floor. Although they might be in his crib. We're working on that. But how did you handle dressing them? Treating their toys? Stuffed animals? Being safe about bringing them to daycare/other peoples' homes?
    Any advice would be helpful.

Yes, good questions. I need this advise too!
One thing we are doing is: when leaving the house, we have to plan ahead. I put all of our clothes to wear in the dryer (even if already dryed and bagged). Then we all dress at the back door right before leaving. If going to daycare, I dry everything the night before, so that it is ready to go with him.

THIS IS SUCH AN AWFUL TIME to be going through! I SO hope it's over soon! I guess it wouldn't be quite as bad without little ones. I had shown my son's "rash" to several doctors. None of them even thought it was bites of any kind. I got several (non bite) answers about it. It's also SO hard to get all this prepping done with little ones to care for.

Yeah. It sucks even more when you don't own a dryer and have to *trust* that the bagged clothes are safe! I'm going to the laundromat tomorrow to get everything done. Then I might keep all bagged stuffed in my hallway.
I'm all alone, and I'm doing my best, but it's so tough. He had bites a long time ago and nobody knew what they were. They said heat rash, mosquito bites, random other things. It wasn't until I had the bites and finally woke up to a bedbug next to my arm that it all clicked.
I just have to hope that in the past two weeks that he's been in daycare, he hasn't brought any with him.

My son is schoolage. I am bagging full outfits in gallon ziplocs. I have just started using the PackTite this week, but I'll be doing shoes every 2-3 days, I think. Shoes come off right inside and go into a ziploc bag. Bags go into ziplocs as soon as we enter.

I spray down shoes in alcohol as we leave. I've sprayed the plastic toys down and ones he plays with regularly are in individual bags. I'll start PackTiting them soon. I've heard you can also run them through the dishwasher.

We had our first treatment last week and I did allow a friend over for an hour this weekend. The other family knows the situation and I made him remove shoes and he could only be in the living room.

One of my current tasks is heat treating all of the back to school supplies and getting them into ziploc bags for the next few weeks. So far, there has been no evidence of them in his room, but that is my big fear.

I have 3 children (4 yo boy, 4 yo girl, & 16 mon old girl). We have a lot of toys and I am not sure how to treat them specifically -- Geo trax, barbie dolls, transformers 9and other action figures), polly pockets, and littlest pet shoppe. my PCO said to use bleach, so I am about ready to soak allthe plastic-only items in that. Any other suggestions/recomendations?? Thanks in advance
