    Hi

Newbie here, but not really wanting to be a part of this club

We are having our house tented next week and preparing to try to salvage some of our food. Realistically we have only found 6 BB in our bedroom, on the other side of our house from the kitchen. I am wiping down a lot of food containers with alcohol (after checking!). Other stuff I was planning on running through the dryer for 20 minutes. Any thoughts? Also what about shampoos, etc.? I have some things that I would like to save.

I'll mention that I have a drying rack, so things stay stable and won't fly around

    Thanks!
    Melissa

    Dear buugy,

You can save many items; just insert "common sense" here !

Your applicator should have provided you with various instructions on how to preserve and protect your sensitive items and foodstuffs.

We would not expect that bed bugs would be on your shampoo bottles unless you're at a "ground zero" location.

If you have questions regarding the information provided by your applicator be sure to ask and get clarification as needed.

BTW, count your blessings as there are many here who would jump at the chance to get an entire house treatment that could end their bed bug nightmare immediately !

Good luck, hope this helps ! paul b.

Thank you so much! The info they gave us re: food and other body stuff is to have it out of the house. And I don't think we areat ground zero...a visitor with bugs on his walls and ceilings layer his coat on our bed. Oh, with I mention of it.

I think our family has bad bug karma...we had to have our previous house tented for termites, and our dog had a tick-borne disease. And now West Nile Virus is increasing around here....

Well, you could always go with the "bubble boy" defensive strategy by encasing your entire family.

However, I think you'll be OK.
