Man, I do NOT want it to be true, but hubby and I are suspecting some new friends are in town. He woke up itchy today and had red spots on his lower legs, in different places. I was fine, no bites or itchiness. Although of course now I am itching all over just thinking about it!!!

So we decide to inspect the bed and on the mattress is a tiny flax seed lookalike, but with no legs or discernible head. Same color as a flax seed, but the shape is more round like an apple seed. Very flat, we can't see any legs at all, or really any ridging. I will take a picture in the AM, but wondering if anyone can soothe my weary mind in the meantime. Shouldn't it have legs or a head or something???

We didn't see any other signs of infestation, but we didn't get too down and dirty in our search. No black marks or fecal spots, no real signs. We want to see how the next few nights go before freaking out...

    Thanks peeps.

Flax or appleseeds are apt comparisons. Be on high alert. Find proof before freaking out.

If a cast skin be very gentle as they are quite fragile.

Good move not getting too down and dirty in the search at this point.

Post pics of what you found. top and bottom shots.

    Jim- thanks for your reply!

We got a magnifying glass and checked out the bugger close up today. It was a damn seed of some kind! ahahahaha. We are relieved, but still not 100% convinced. I'll keep ya posted.
