I still have no idea whether or not the adult BB that I found on my sheets was a stray from my cousin. I searched my mattress and box spring way more than I had last week. I found these weird markings on my box frame. It won't come off with tape. I didn't find any living ones, but I'm really starting to worry, so any id would be mucho appreciated.

    brooklyngrl91,
ive read some of your other posts and im in a similar situation to you. I live on the border of brooklyn/queens and I found a bed bug (its dead body trapped in packing tape is currently attached to my fridge with the caption "KILL THEM WITH FIRE") and I have little to no extra income for treatment with no one who can help me.

the way i see it is, you need to keep on looking. i dont know whether those are fecal stains or not, and i know an ID can be expensive. I actually called 311 today to report my bed bugs (my landlord, even though i have a sample, is refusing to call a PCO) and they were extremely helpful. They are going to call my landlord themselves, and if he does not do anything in 72 hours, they are going to send an inspector!!!! they even said that they have the option of bed bug sniffing dogs. With luck, this will work out.

I would strongly recommend you do the same. I will update you with my situation in the hopes that maybe we can find a common solution. Im miserable and i have welts all over my body ):

    Hi,

Sorry the images are not clear and in focus enough for me to give a confirming ID, if you can retake please do and post the most infocus you can even if that means taking from further away or with a macro setting.

However from number it's less likely to be bedbugs as with that number there would have had to be more bedbugs or one for a very, very long time, months rather than weeks.

    Hope that explains.

I'm so sorry about your situation! It is so frustrating not knowing. I will definitely consider the 311 call. I have not spoken with my LL yet, as I don't have concrete evidence that there any more BBs in my house (really regretting throwing the one I found in the trash). I'll be honest, though. I know if I tell him, he'll do nothing about it. If I do find out I have them, 311 will very likely be getting a call. I'm at my wits end with the not knowing. If there are any in my apartment, I'd very much like for them to come and bite me, and let me know they're here.

Good luck with everything! And definitely let me know your results with the 311 call.
