I found a dead bug in my daughters bed two weeks ago. At that time I was just vacuuming to make sure flea would be under control after pets were treated. So I just sucked up the bug and didn't think about it till later that night when I saw bb stuff on line. At that point the bug was gone with the trash. I really wish I never sucked it up but bed bugs weren't in my mind at that time. So I started doing inspections a think good inspections as far as not being a pro goes. We found nothing for a bit but a couple black dots on are comforter. The one night we found to very tiny bugs on a box spring that could be nymphs or booklice the pics I posted on here wern't great. We have bites but just get over fleas also. Now when ripping everything apart and using flashlights, a magnifying glass and a credit card. We found these spots inside a box spring and then 9 more of those tiny bugs that may be book live or nymphs. Ordering the bed bug blue fecal test kit for the dots, don't really have the money but need to find out. I have one of the tiny bugs from the top of the box spring collected in a small bowl with lid. Also one in tape. Does any one know where I could go to get an Id on them without paying the high price of an exterminater?

The video becomes a bit clear after a few seconds. Ps: I haven't slept in days and can't eat. This is the only thing on my mind. I canceled a planned visit from family. Don't let any one out the door with out fresh clothes from the dryer and make everyone shower and put their clothes right in the wash when getting out of bed.

The one in the video is a Psocid, and the little clear bug in one pic is a psocid too.
The big dark one may look like a BB, but it's not (sure it's not a BB, but I can't identify it).
Faecals have a wrong colour when smeared...

Veevee, you may know this but EffeCi is a famous entomologist (spelling?) and bedbug slayer.

In my photos David has id the spots on wood not to be bed bug related. I am concerned about the new pic of the inside of the box spring because I have no clue how spots like that would be inside a box spring? Thank you for your time Have you seen book lice on box springs before? I ordered the bed bug blue kit any opinion that product?

No, but that's just because in Italy we do not use box springs. Book lice may be everywhere in a home...

I still didn't test it, but I know David and KQ are thrilled...

Feeling uneasy now :/ met a pco today with a live sample of the possible book lice or nymph and a possible casting and two of the tiny bugs in tape. He dropped the container with the live sample then opened it up side down and lost the bug. Then said maybe I lost it on my way even though I saw seconds before I handed to him. Then he saw the casting and said yup that's a bed bug but then said maybe not? Then said one of the book lice nymph things looked like a flee?????? Really??????? So he lost my live sample and took my other sample to go back and look at later under the microscope. So now I have no samples and don't think I should believe what he ends up telling me :/

I am 100% certain that the video is not of a bed bug and is of a psocid (as EffeCi has already said).

To an untrained eye a psocid and a bed bug nymph look similar. My guess is that your PCO is not an experienced insect identifier.

Thank you, I just can't stop looking and looking for sign or bed bugs theirselves because I hear so many people say that they look and look and don't find any for months. Two weeks ago I found a dead bug in between my daughter's mattress and box spring. At that time I wasn't even thinking about bed bugs and didn't save it. Then later the thought of the bug kept haunting me and by then it was long gone. I hate myself for not thinking about bed bugs at that time and saving it. Now I'm going crazy

I can't imagine what other kind of bug would be dead between a box spring and mattress. Plus I can't picture the bug in my head I just remember it being dark and saying me saying it look dead for a while because it looked like a shell of a bug. Then I found out bed bugs are flat :/

    1) Any dead bug between your mattress and box spring is bound to end up flat.

    2) Most people that search and search for bed bugs for months and can't find them don't have bed bugs.
