In late February I found a single bedbug crawling on my shirt. Our apartment manager had our unit inspected and at the time they found droppings on the mattress so we were treated and given the all clear. That mattress has since been thrown out(we didn't have a box spring or bed frame) and we've gotten a new one along with a new box screen from a reputable seller that only sells mattresses. As soon as they got here we(my wife and I) put covers on them.

Today I inspected our mattress and box spring and found a few spots. They look way smaller than the ones that were found when we were inspected. Also inspected the baseboard along the bed and found nothing. I don't know if that means anything or not though :p They're all black in color. I don't see any "red" to them at all. Some are very, very faint.

NOTE: I was just checking the stuff as a precaution. Haven't had any signs of them.

Also, the finger in the last post is my pinky.

The sheet on our bed is white and has no signs of BBs.

I got a wet q-tip and rubbed it on this spot, http://tinypic.com/r/1nz8ld/5 , and it didn't smear at all. Then I scraped it with my finger and it came up and looked almost like a fabric...

I don't know if it matters but we've also seen a few carpet beetles.

The first and second picture I would say no. The last two ( the same I believe) would need to be viewed in person to be sure.

Look into buying the Bed Bug Blue Fecal test kit ..... It will give you instant confirmation.
You can find the kit at http://www.usbedbugs.com

Also, I don't know if it matters or not but only one of the dots is still there.

I've been doing regular checks since then and have found no new spots. We also have white sheets and haven't found any signs of blood or fecal matter on them.

If you click on this link and hover over the photo with your cursor a magnifying glass should appear, click it and it enlarges the picture a lot.

I enlarged it again but still don't feel comfortable making the call without seeing it in person. I think at one point it was a single spot but with the help of a wrinkle or a fold, it pasted over to the other side of the fabric. Something I do see in the field at times.

Sorry, just can't call this one but I would expect to see additional evidence and with the encasement on, it should be real easy to find more.

I haven't found anything since then. No blood stains, no bites, nothing new that could be fecal, no cast skin and no bugs.

Would it be safe to say I'm just being paranoid? At one point we've also had varied carpet beetles and have seen a couple silver fish but none recently.
