fecal & bug fragment ID, pleas
(8 posts)-
Hello
I had a bb scare a while back, and I ended up not having them (nothing on the passive, no visible evidence in my apartment, had a few bites a while back, but I think they may have been from fleas). I flea bombed my home and washed everything, and the problem seems to have gone away. So perhaps this is just my resulting hypersensitivity.
In any event, I was at a friend's house and saw these spots on the bathroom floor. I'd appreciate an ID. Also, I found a few different bugs under there (all dead, and these people have a cleaning person come in bi-weekly, so there is regular cleaning, but this is somewhat of a hard to reach/not noticeable place), including what I'm pretty sure is the fragment of a sowbug or something similar.

Thanks!
Oh, and the title should say "please." Sorry!

Sorry, I just added a new photo. And there isn't a size reference there, but the area that the spots are spread over is about 5 inches/12-13 cm.

And if someone IDs this as non-bb, I'll give up obsessing over these little bastards, once and for all, haha :).

I'm not an expert but the bugs don't look like bedbugs to me
as far as the spots, they do look like some sort of fecal but we have these stupid little harmless spiders every summer in our condo and they leave fecal that looks exactly like that so it could be from another bug

I thought the same, that the fecal did not have the same appearance as the stuff I've seen in bb fecal photos. I will wait for the experts to weigh in :). Thanks for your answer.

Also, do you know what kinds of spiders those are? I'd like to search for a pic of their fecal online and compare it.

Hi,
The fragment is an isopod or sow bug.
The faecal is either roach droppings or fly droppings and not bedbug. The location and dispersal is all wrong.
