Inspecting the hotel mattress in a new place... concerned about these marks. Could they be fecal matter or something else?

bed 1, 5 pics: 1 & 2 show different views of same area of mattress. 3 shows two spots, 4 & 5 are closeups of those two spots.
bed 2, 5 pics: shows some black stains on some boards under the mattress, especially darker around the bigger holes which is troubling. And also a couple red smears. (2 pics are of the same thing, different angle.) Also that frame has an almost new mattress on it with the plastic mattress cover left under it, over the wood. that seems a bit suspicious??

    Thank you so much.

    Hi,

Nothing confirming of bed bugs there.

The holes in the wood are from a wood boring pest, the dark colour usually indicates they are treated in my experience.

If you have inspected to that detail you have the process correct, you just need to work on better identification of confirming signs versus random artifacts and things you start to notice when you are looking at this level of detail.

    Hope that helps.
