I was wondering if anyone has ever thought about something like a low powered electrical net or blanket(lke a thermal blanket) which ran on batteries(for safety reasons) which would zap bedbugs like a Mosquito Zapper. Any thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing. Why not a large pad that goes under the bed, and is electrified with DC current or such on both sides. Maybe a remote control to turn in on and off from bed.

Has Louis Sorkin ever tried electric current?

Hmmm. An interesting idea, but I don't know if I could sleep with the occasion "ZAP" coming from beneath the bed frame. Then there would also be the roasted BB smell . . .

I've been thinking for a while that we should start a thread with ideas for researchers to start looking into. 'Cause we're the ones on the front lines, maybe we would have the best ideas.

This sounds like a good one. They could make little pads that go under or behind furniture that you don't want them to infest, too.
