   Duct tape works great at sealing gaps between floors and sheetrock (gaps hidden by carpet, electric strip heaters, etc). I was caulking and spray foaming and then thought about duct tape. So much easier, faster and cheaper. You can knock out a room in an hour - the hard part is pulling the carpet up. Closet cracks? who care about the color, tape up those cracks and seams. I got white duck tape and even taped interior white floor molding and it looks great. Also, clear packing tape over outlets works great and is invisible. FIGHT ON - U CAN WIN !
