does my dog have bed bugs?

   I believe that I found bedbug babies on my American Eskimo (a small 20 lb white dog). I know we had bed bugs, but we steamed everything in the house except for the animals obviously. We haven't seen anymore bugs since we steamed the house until I grabbed the dog and started playing rough with her and shaking her hair on her back, than all of a sudden these bugs started coming out of her fur and they looked like the bedbug babies, they definately were not fleas or ticks. Someone please help my poor dog, how do I treat bedbugs on my dog?

   Not likely for bed bugs to stay on the host. Even a Dog. Could it be lice?

   I would try and take a picture and post it to the web then link to it here for ID.

   Hmmmm !

   Not likely although possible depending upon the density of the fur. I'm intrigued due to the breed as it may have a dense coat.

   Any over the counter flea & tick shampoo ought to do the trick on nearly all critters you might find on your pooch however, it would be best to know what you have for sure !

   Any way you can post a photo?

   If so, be sure your photo is clear and well lit !
