Could these insects bite? [a: possible sciarid fly]

    I have posted not long ago about these insects. Lou replied that it Could be a dark-winged fungus gnat. I didnt ask if they can bite? They seem to look a bit different on the internet when i looked it up. Got some new pictures just now. Can anyone identify what it is? Is it something other to what Lou said it could be?

    You can't get any closer to it? It can't be zoomed in without breakup, but looks like a sciarid fly. If you tap it and kill it, you could move the wings outward so venation could be seen and maybe I can be more specific.

    These pictures are the best i could do. They are very small, they fly the same way mosquitos do. I find them in our bedrooms and in the bathroom. I’ll do what you suggested and try and take another picture
