Got Bed Bugs? Bedbugger Forums » Bed Bug Treatment
Confirmation/Monitoring Question/Idea
(1 post)-
I am scheduled to have treatment #3 next monday (I had them push it up for my convenience, and I wanted to stay a bit lower in the 7-14 day window, plus, my contract will run soon, and I want to have time to have them back if #3 doesn't go right).
So, that brings me to how to know if it went well.
I currently have climbups on my bed (the only piece of furniture that I sit on anymore). They haven't caught anything since treatment 2, even though I had blood smear on my sheets 3 days after second treatment. I may have had a few more bites since then, but, since I see nothing going or coming to climbup, I think/hope that when PCO comes back, they will do a full spray on the bed and take care of that.
I was thinking that I might also try the Bedbug Beacon CO2 Active monitor near where I suspect the harborage is.
Here are my thoughts:
1. The bed is decently isolated and has climbups. The CO2 active may pull in bugs that otherwise wouldn't be found.
2. After doing one 5-7 day test with it and hopefully being clean (if not, I can use as evidence to get one last treatment under my contract), I can set it up again in my car! Has anyone tried to use the bedbug beacon in an automobile. I am a bit worried that I have a straggler or two in my car, so, the idea would be to set it up, leave it for a week, and not use the car in order to draw anything out.
What are people's thoughts. What do the PCOs think?
