Any entomologists out there? Since I'll be moving soon, I want to be 100% sure I've done everything in my power to get these out of my apartment and be done with them. I came up with an idea, and luckily found someone who didn't care what I was putting into their place.
Since I'm gutted not being able to use my CDs, DVDs, books, photographs, etc., for 18 months, I thought "Hmmm... how about cold storage?" I found a place in Brooklyn that will store up to two pallets worth of stuff for one month for $200. It will be stored in a freezer with a maximum temperature of 0 degrees F (it fluctuates in the -20 to 0 range, but never goes above 0). My question for those who know these bugs well is whether this will work to kill not only the bugs but also the eggs that may be on my belongings... A month at sub-zero would probably be enough to get the core temperature of any item well below the 25 degrees that I've seen thrown about as the freezing point of these nasties - what do you guys think?

What I am planning on putting into this cold storage:

    Books
    CDs
    DVDs
winter clothing items (instead of laundering/dry cleaning them at great cost)
    paperwork
    luggage

Do you think this is a viable solution?
