    Hi there,

    Anyone tried those Climbup interceptors?

Is it really just a plastic double layer coaster with some talc powder in it? I feel like I could make one myself.

Is it just the talc that traps the bugs in there? Or are the sides really slippery anyway.

I agree. You can get bed raisers that have wells in them for half the price of the climbups. But what's the secret ingredient? can I just put talc in my bed raisers?

Climb ups are fairly low-tech. The talc keeps the bugs from climbing back out, while not hurting them (which might trigger an alarm to the other BB to stay away).

Yes, you can fashion a set yourself from materials you acquire.

The "secret ingredient" is that the maker has done the work of selecting materials that work and having it ready for you to use. It saves you the run-around and guess-work.
