    Hey Guys,

I've had bed bugs for about 5 months now. I've identified what the problem was about a month ago, but my girlfriend has been getting bites long before that (although I've never had a single visible bite..some people don't react to them). We identified my couch as the original source of the infestation. I had Orkin come out twice...once for the original treatment which covered the entire apartment and the second which seemed to be a more touchup job treating the couch and other likely hiding spots. Unfortunatly he couldn't get to all the places in the couch that I would have liked and I am still seeing the bugs. The couch must go! I have since isolated my bed and the bites have pretty much stopped entirely. My girlfriend did get a couple of fresh bites in the last week but it was nowhere near the 5 to 10 bites daily from a couple of months ago!!

I have read through the facts and stories on this site and I am both more educated and horrified at what this might take to finally get rid of these parasites! I'm wondering if there are other more effective PCO's out there. Orkin told me the use a microsphere type poison cocktail that keeps killing bugs for months, but I'm not totally convinced this will get all of them. I'm just wondering if I will just be able to control (not totally eliminate) these bugs and if I should expect another infestation down the road. Also, should I expect to do multiple treatments until the bites stop. I know this is a grey area but any advice on this would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Brett
