can't find bugs
(4 posts)-
A couple days ago I woke up with 6 small itchy red welts and was immediately concerned about bed bugs as I had seen an article about them recently in my town. The first day I took off and searched through the sheets and blankets, searched the mattress, especially the seams, the top and bottom of the box spring and the bed frame. I did not turn up anything. Today I woke up with what may be two more bites. I searched again, looking in the same places and more. This time I also took the mesh off the bottom of the box spring and searched the inside. I also carefully searched everything underneath my bed and removed it and found nothing but carpet beetle larvae. I also searched through other furniture and the baseboards and found nothing. What's going on? Do I have bed bugs, I'm really worried since it sounds like they are a nightmare to get rid of.

Bite are not a confirmation that you have bed bugs. Read the FAQs and you will learn how to isolate you bed and how to monitor for them. It is good to do inspections, but don;t do it everyday as if they are there and you miss them you could just make them move. This board is full of people who are here to help you.

I actually just found a flea in my apartment. Hopefully that is what is causing the bites *knock on wood.* I never imagined I would be relieved to learn I have fleas.

I pray you have fleas.
