He uses way too much of the product, does not give good instructions on how to protect yourself from the dust. Pros should use only if they know how to puff it lightly, and filter it out of the area when done, the residuals that get in the air.

Some kind of purifier with a pure real hepa filter I am betting. I am no pro, but after reading the DE faq on this forum, and learning that even food grade DE contains a Class 1 Carcinogen IE cancer causing agent, This stuff is as dangerous as any chemical, even if it's natural. Arsenic is all natural too, and it too can kill you dead.

Wake up people, DE is dangerous. Don't listen to these people who act and preach like its harmless. Its a dust, dust is bad.

Bug Slayer DE is not good for your lungs it causes respritory problems but Canada Bedbugs sells food grade so you can throw a spoon full on you cereal in the morning and it is very good for your digestive system. Just don't inhale it and our respitory systems can't clear it (thats as layman as I can get)'it can over long periods of time cause serious problems.

I do agree with BBGen0cide that Canada Bedbugs was very sloppy with their demonstration but they were dusting with the product as it is suppose to be used but left allot of safety precautions or should have taken more time in doing the video (in fact I question why they did not have a demo professionally done and added to their web site) . However with he mass spead I am sure they are bombarded with purchasers asking how to use DE so so someone got sloppy making a demonstration . Trust me I am in Canada and if I can't get it on CDN BB then I have to go to US Bedbugs and hope the product I want can be shipped to Canada.

When you purchase the product you need only poke a hole in the end to achieve dust. I have two different application bottles one you can dust as shown in the video, the other you sprinkle when you are apply to a large area and paint out, I use a 3"wide paint brush for under furniture.

It appears to show the person is standing up in the video and when they depress the bottle it fogged and then they spead it with a paint brush. If you are worried about excess that has fallen to the floor do as Doug Summers taught me how to properly clean it up. Don't vacuum, use a damp cloth and wipe the excess away, that way you are not clouding it into the air.

    What they missed was

You need to be gloved, masked and have safety eyeware when you use either method and should launder your clothing after if you don't wear a tyvek saftey suit.

A tyveck saftey suit (think of the CSI guys in there white suits) cost any where from 10.00 to 20.00 and can be reused for this purpose. Just go outside take the suite of and shake it out bag it but keep the mask and eyeware on. If your neighbors see who cares allot of the painters wear then now, or tell them your wife made you clean out the storage room and your allergic to dust. I hate promoting the stigma that goes along but I have been there and that anonimity is a phsychological barrier that may people need to get through this.

For the new bites this is not an instant cure, it is tool in the battle, you still need a professional to access your situation and recommend a proper course of action. DE rips the exoskeloton causing death to the bug in a few days, sorry to tell you, your still bug bait. You need to take more messures than applying DE.
