Our things are bagged, can we put them in the pac-tite bagged or do we need to remove, cook, and re-bag? Seems like it shouldn't matter but i want to do it right. I don't remember from last time.

thanks. I'm sorry to post again on an open topic. It's not always easy to remember the rules when you're in the middle of this. Again, I'm sorry, and also grateful as always for everyone's help.

Fedup, people Packtite in ziplocs all the time. Monitoring temperatures in the center is important, though.

JRA79, no need to apologize! I just thought you might want to join the other discussion instead. That way we don't have two parallel discussions and people don't miss anything.

Someone from pactite who I have seen post on this forum also told me that it was ok to do it in the bags. What I have been doing is opening the bags I have so that I can get the monitor into the center, and then turning on the pactite. When complete I either toss the old bag once it's been cleaned (we live in an apartment and I don't want to inadvertently put anything live in the trash room) or bag everything up again in a new, sealed bag.
