Can it be...Sucess!! All clear from Ruby the pooch 6 months later..
(2 posts)-
I haven't actually had time to wrap my head around it but my mgt co. (incompetent - forgot to call me till 7:30 this morning to say, today was the appointment) organized something - 4 units to be inspected by company with dog that turned me down 2 months ago (they did only do commercial, guess times is tough).
My unit, my neighbor, and the empty unit next to and below her. I did find out she said NOPE, the dog can't come in. I will not use all the swear words in my head about that and will need to process those feelings, but let's talk about me.
Doggy found NO BUGS in my house!! So that makes Dave "The Bug Man" who found no trace, all the critters I've seen have turned out to not be "them" and now that sweet little pooch says NO BUGS.
I did not (and kinda not there yet) believe I would get to this place, done, safe, finished, free. If it weren't for the fact I really don't drink, I'd get drunk. I did not..not...not believe it would ever work, but it seems it did. My less evolved side wants to not believe it, not to let myself celebrate, but you know what...I'm going there!
So what's left? That darn sofa, overstuffed, vikaned, sprayed, and the bottom torn out. Most of my furniture (antiques in horrible condition that i love) the books I chose not to part with (there were many more I did), some dress up hats and shoes, you know, some stuff.
What's gone, A LOT, but I never miss any of it. Next month, if bite free (see how I am) it's a new mattress - encased, why not?
Now to get down to business, I've put in three calls to our Trimet public trans system with the question, what do you do to protect your ridership? Will work with Public Health to try to get them listed as a nuisance (Vector Control guy, on board), once they are an official nuisance creatures like my neighbor won't have the luxury of saying no or keeping secrets.
THANK YOU, not going away...but may take a week off the board to decompress. Think good thoughts...sleep...be kind to yourself, and who knew...Chemical treatment can work...I didn't believe it.
Work'in on it though.

Congratulations
Thanks for the success story & welcome to the world of bed bug policy advocacy.
Historically, transportation systems were seriously affected by bed bug infestations prior to the 40s , but we being forced to re-learn lessons that were well known just a few generations back.
Good luck
