Dri-Die 67 is an inert compound based on amorphous silica with some ammonium fluosilicate integrated with it to reduce dispersion and increase electrostatic cling. I've done a lot of reading in the past few days and have come to the conclusion that this substance is much more effective than DE when distributed in a very thin film in undisturbed places like behind the book-cases, in wall-cavities/behind drywall, void-spaces under kitchen cubboards, wiring conduits, etc.

There are evidently formulations which contain pyrethrins in a spray format (such as Drione, and Tri-Die) but I don't want spray, and I don't want the pyrethrins or any other repellant. The whole point of Silica and DE it that you want the critters to wallow in it, not to be repelled, so putting repellent in it is just plain stupid, in my opinion always humble.

So, does anybody know where I can obtain Dri-Die 67? I'm in Canada.

Reply to self: looks like you can get the gunked-up versions with pyrethrins and carriers of dubious use and toxicity but not the pure AMMONIUM FLUOSILICATE of which Dri-Die 67 used to be an example in insecticide form. Appears to not be certified at all any more, in North America. Sad, really.
