I have 4 pets (3 cats and a dog) and recently discovered that one of my cats has tapeworm--probably from a flea infestation last year. Now we have a bedbug infestation but no fleas and all of the animals are on Frontline. The vet gave my infected cat pills. While the tapeworm "droppings" have improved, it hasn't went away completely. Could bedbugs be the reason?

No. Tapeworms have a life cycle that depends on the flea larvae eating the tapeworm eggs, and the cat eats the tainted adult flea, tapeworm settles in, eggs drop out the cat's butt.

It is a rather nasty life cycle.
