I'm a researcher for ITV London and we're currently looking at making a programme about bed bugs, as there seems to be something of an epidemic at present.

I'd be interested to hear any tales of woe from the London area. I'm just at the research stage at the moment - trying to find out more about how the problem is affecting people and how they're dealing with it. If you're willing to share, you can email me in confidence at susan.radcliffe@itv.com

    Thanks

    Susan

SKR, one person here from England is called "Fedupandparanoid." They may choose to not respond, as many bedbug victims prefer to remain anonymous and are wary of the media.

However, it may be worth a PM. (PM stands for "Private Message"). Find a post with this person's screen name in one of the threads, and click "PM THIS USER."

I have already emailed SKR (she also posted on the bedbug resource) and she has asked me to send her details of her experiences which I am going to do. Although I can't bring myself to 'go public' about my experiences, I will support anything that increases understanding of bed bugs and therefore effective treatment. I'd be interested to know how many UK responses she gets from either this site or the bedbug resource - I don't think there are too many others posting but hopefully people are still reading and learning. It would certainly be interesting to get a wider perspective of the differences in IPM in the US and UK.

    Thanks Fedup for doing this.

I think I'd be the same as you - choose to remain anonymous. But yeah, you are helping everyone by sharing your story.

    Thanks again!!
