    I think this is part of the spider as it looks like there were eight legs, but I am not certain and would much appreciate expert feedback. Thank you.

    You're correct. Cephalothorax and coxae present. All other body parts missing. Looks like a male Steatoda species (theridiid spider).

    Professional entomologist/arachnologist. I consult on all matters dealing with insects and arachnids, including those of natural history and biology to pest management and forensic entomology investigations.
