Bug ID please(4 posts)
I am tracking down all these bugs and putting them in bags for my landlord. I apologize for their quality. he told me that the people downstairs from me have bed bugs so I've been freaking out ever since. I had these tiny little bugs though in my other apartment in the same complex. I see them fall off my cats., or I see them under my pillows sometimes. They're brown with a black head. My landlord is telling me that my bites are probably flea bites. Fleas are rare in Alaska. But here is a photo of this bug and a few of my bites. Like I said before too, who knows what else is hiding in this building. It's old, and people move in and out all the time from all over.
and the bug:
My landlord did come and check the apartment he found nothing in my bed, or spots on the wall or anything.
It's a lot of stress. The people downstairs from me are messy. So are the people on the other side of them. I hate feeling like I'm going to get something weather I'm clean or not. I'll keep looking for the bed bugs though if this one isn't it.
Nobody can identify bites as bedbug bites. Not even a doctor. The picture of the bug does not look like a bedbug, but one of the pros will come along and help you identify what it is.
In the meantime, hang in there and try not to fret.
It's a carpet beetle (Attagenus sp.)
Carpet beetle check. Thank you.
